Mr Beans Plummer Pugmaster

Shortly after becoming the Plummer Postmaster, I decided to get my chow/retriever mix a playmate since she was grieving the loss of her playmate Loki, a schipperke/pug mix. I really liked the pug part of Loki's personality; so I looked for one on Petfinder, a online pet rescue website. I came across a purebred puppy named Mr. Beans 30 miles away @ 2nd Chance Pet Rescue in Coeur d'Alene. I told the girl jokingly that since I had just become the Plummer Postmaster, he could be the Plummer Pugmaster. Unfortunately, I did not have a fenced yard in yet, so she was apprehensive about letting me adopt him, especially since there was another family looking at him that did. She asked both of us if we would consider a pug mix that she had; and I would have, except it had a problem of not getting along with other dogs. The other family wanted a purebred or nothing. Fortunately for us, she did not like their answer. She called me soon after to tell me she could not get the idea of the Plummer Pugmaster out of her head, and that we could adopt him. He made a guest appearance one day out in front of the PO and has his picture hanging in our lobby. Now, two years later, he is a valued member of our family and people come into the Post Office and see this picture and smile.
